Planning your trip |
Knowing in advance what you intend to achieve by making your business trip can really save you time & effort in planning your trip. Simple itineraries for the experienced business traveler are really straight forward. However, if you are not an experienced business traveler or have a complex trip or are travelling to a destination that is new to you, means that you have to prepare in advance.
When booking through HTM, contact one of our professional agents to discuss your proposed trip and share with them, how you would like your itinerary to be constructed. We can provide you with some options or alternatives along with professional advice that you will find useful. |

 Insurance
If you are representing your Company while travelling on business, your Company should normally provide you with insurance. However, it is well worth your while to check with your HR Department for details on this and in the event of any incident or emergency, what is the process for you to follow, to ensure that you keep within the terms of any policy. If you require additional insurance, talk to us about your requirements.

 Travel Advice
Prior to your trip, it is always worth using the internet to assist you with your forthcoming travel.
 Weather
Check to ensure that you pack the correct type of clothes.
 Currency
Check to ensure that you are conversant with the exchange rate and currency type needed (taxi/local transportation, tips, incidentals etc). Also, check with your own bank to understand the options available to you for cash withdrawals locally & the charges.
 Transport
In most major Cities, there are good & reliable public transportation systems (e.g. London Underground/Paris Metro/New York Metro). However, they can appear to be tricky to navigate for the first time, so print out the maps/routes that you intend to use, prior to travelling.
 Medical
Check with your Clinic, if any medical precautions are necessary
 Meet&Greet
Being met at the Airport is, for sure, a nice to have. However, in some Airports it is a must. Ensuring that you have speedy processing of your documentation/visas etc and exiting to an awaiting limo, makes a very big difference to a successful business trip or not, especially when visiting a Country for the first time.
